1935 Ford

The 1935 Ford was a solid and reliable car. My friends and I would each chip in 18 cents and we could ride all day long just sight seeing and having fun together. Sometimes when there was snow packed on the roads we would go to our favorite place where there was seldom any traffic. We would turn the wheel in a way that would make the car spin. We would take turns to see who could make the car spin the most times. If the car would spin off the road it would go into the snow bank on the side of the road. We would all get together and push it out. The object of the game was not to go into the snow bank but to get the most spins. A three spin usually won.

This car is the car I owned when I first set eyes on the love of my life (not a car) I was working on the cars brakes and changing the oil. When done I had to test drive to check the brakes. Went down to Highland drive turned left and drove a couple of miles, when satisfied I stopped to make a U turn and there she was preparing to cross the street. I sat there amazed at the beauty of this beautiful young girl. She crossed the street and as I finished my U turn I got another glimpse of her, It made my day. About a year later I met her at a friends house and we have been together ever since, about 58 yrs. And one of the very best things about her is to hear her laugh, It is priceless!
