We had a lot of fun in this car, driving this car was a breeze with the top down. Convertibles were very popular in those days along with drivein hambuger joints and drivein theaters.
We were watching our 2 year old nephew one day when we were shopping and he was riding in the back seat (no seat belts) with the groceries. When we returned home the carton of eggs had been opened. We did not know what happened to the four eggs that were missing but we assumed that the nephew had thrown them out of the moving car. Well we assumed wrong about three weeks later when we went to put the top up we discovered a mess, the nephew broke open the eggs and poured them down in the folds of the convertible top. The eggs had hardened so hard and stuck to the top like glue. It took a long time to get it all off, eggs would make a good glue.
We took a trip to AZ to visit my wife's sister, the ford didn't like AZ, it would heat up and would not stay cool , we were forced to stop every 30 or so miles to put water in it. It did that until we returned UT. But I still liked the car.
