We are making our last move ever to Lake of the pines, Nevada County CA from Redmond OR. I have some pictures that I would like to share of Nevada County. To the right is a "Pelton wheel used for mining"Picture of a street of Grass valley CA
Underneath this street is an abandoned gold mine "The Empire mine" that has shafts running for miles under the town. There is still tons of gold there but to reopen the mine would be too costly
